Man Climbs Ai Wei Wei’s ‘Forever Bicycles’ Installation (PHOTOS)
A man was promptly arrested after he climbed Chinese dissident, artist and activist Ai wei wei’s Forever Bicycles installation at Nathan Phillips Square on Sunday afternoon in Toronto.
The installation, which opened last weekend as part of Toronto’s Annual Nuit Blance Festival, took two weeks to build and assemble and talks about, to name a few, China’s over-population and control of its citizens.
Police cordoned off the 3144 recycled bikes and took the man into custody. Fortunately no one was injured when the man tried to exercise his own freedom of movement.
Forever Bicycles is on view until October 27. Go See It!
