Media has convinced us that all of Syria is in a bloody civil war. Not true. There are towns and cities in the middle eastern nation where life is continuing to thrive. One such town is Deir Atieh, where students teamed with architecture academic Salmo al-Batal to paint the longest public staircase in their town. The results are stunning.
